Obituary for Bridgett Diana Grantham

Bridgett Diana Grantham, 50 of Shepherdstown, WV was called into God’s eternal presence on Saturday, May 1, 2021. She was surrounded by her children Jeremy and Shayla Cooper whom she loved dearly.

Bridgett was born on November 5, 1970 in Berkeley County to the late Ethel Virginia Grantham and Charles Branson.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown and was a member of the Ambassadors of Christ choir where her heavenly voice touched so many. She worked at Shepherd University for over 20 years where she was a mom to so many students.

She is survived by one son, Jeremy L. Cooper and one daughter, Shayla R. Cooper both of Shepherdstown. Sisters and brothers: Vivian Clark, Andrea Lawson (Byron), Cheryl Jones (Samuel), Loretta Holmes, Victor Holmes (Delena), Don Wayne Holmes (Judy Hockman), Kim Holmes, Brian Holmes (Linda), Lisa Williams (Dennis), Todd Grantham (Hillary Long), Anthony, Charles and Jay Branson; 2 uncles, Leon Branson and George Grantham; 3 aunts, Carrie Ann Mosby, Rose Marie Branson and Brenda Branson Johnson; A special godson whom she loved dearly, Jackson Grantham; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Bridgett was proceeded by her sister/best friend Tracey Y. Grantham. Ethel, Tracey and Bridgett are now back together again…Inseparable.

Going Home Service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 4257 Kearneysville Pike, Shepherdstown, WV 25443. Viewing will be 9:00 am and service will follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Ernest D. Lyles, Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Kearneysville, WV. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
