Obituary for Betty Ann McDonald (Horner)
Betty “Horner” McDonald, 78, of Inwood, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born May 20, 1944 in Hedgesville, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Viola Butts Horner. Betty was a homemaker that enjoyed family and getting the family together for family dinners.
She is survived by five sons, Douglas McDonald (Michele) of Bunker Hill, Gary (Laurie) and Edward McDonald both of Inwood, Randy McDonald (Rhonda) of Gerrardstown, and Kevin McDonald (Breana) of Washburn, MO; three daughters, Tamera Talley (Sam) of Hedgesville, Christine Holton (Jim) of Martinsburg, and Regina McDonald of Inwood; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Jerry Horner; a sister, Ethel Mason; and a brother in-law Roy Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Ralph “Red” Junior McDonald; a brother Vincent Horner; sisters, Anna Anderson, and Geraldine Peggs.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor David Palmer officiating.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel.
Interment will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
