Bernice Knick Windholz, 100, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
Born November 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Knick and
Bernice was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 50+ years and served on the Church Council. She was a Sgt. in the Women’s Army Corp during World War II. Bernice was a secretary at North Junior High School for 19 years, she was a Literancy Volunteer and also volunteered at C-Cap.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Murphy, of Hedgesville; two grandchildren, Alain and Christopher: two great grandsons, Andrew and Liam.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alain H. Windholz and a son, Jeffry Alain Windholz.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
