Obituary for Barbara Mae Tennis (Weakley)
Barbara Mae Weakley Tennis, 76, of Inwood, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 with family by her side.
Born February 1, 1945 in Washington, D. C., she was the daughter of Robert Lee Weakley and Erma Virginia Wymer Weakley.
She was the wife of Pastor Thomas L. Tennis, Sr. and a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church and was involved with Jolly 60’s. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.
She is survived by one son, Thomas L. Tennis, Jr. of Hedgesville; three daughters, Holly M. Stanley, of Gerrardstown, Heidi M. Lowe of Cincinnati, OH, and Wendy M. Baylor of South Bend, IN; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Eugene Weakley, Douglas Weakley, Kenny Weakley and Jimmy Weakley; and five sisters, Virginia Lentz, Patricia (Pat) Arnold, Betty Altizer, Mary Weakley and Dorothy Potter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Thomas L. Tennis, Sr; and five brothers, Robert (Bob) Weakley, Bill Weakley, Alan Weakley and Gary Weakley.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Bane and Bill Stanley officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Entombment will be in the Maranatha Mausoleum.
