Obituary for Barbara Kay Collins
Barbara Kay Collins, 79, of Gerrardstown passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born April 7, 1943, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Batt and Mae Rhodes Batt.
Barbara was a member of the Beta Signa Phi and Beta Signa Phi Chorus. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She served on the Apple Harvest Board and the Inwood Christmas Parade. She was a director of her church choir. She also volunteered as a secretary at Martinsburg Christian Academy for twenty-five years.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald K. Collins; two daughters, Kay Lewis (Randy), and Kelly Gardner (Philip); six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the chapel with her grandson, Collin Lewis officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gerrardstown.
