Obituary for Arthur Leon "Pappy" Wenk
Arthur Leon “Pappy” Wenk, 86, of Hedgesville passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born August 23, 1935 in Billingsly, MD he was the son of the late Leon Arthur Wenk and Pearl Elizabeth Green Wenk,
He is survived by one son, Roger Wenk (Linda) of Leetown, WV; two daughters, Kathy Wagner (Jeff) of Hedgesville and Malinda Crawford (Gary) of Gerrardstown; 8 grandchildren, Terra Carpenter, Christopher Wenk, Billy Wenk, Kandy LaPole, Matthew Wenk, Joshua Wenk, Corey Crawford and Amber Summers; 8 great-grandsons; 7 great-granddaughters; and special family members, Chris Chapman and Jack Kackley.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth M. Wenk, one son, Carlton Wenk; four sisters, Shirley Wheeler, Margaret Price, Barbara Kackley and Lillian Wenk.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood at 3:00 p.m., with Chaplain Wayne Clark officiating.
