Obituary for Anita "Jean" Hott (Triggs)

Anita "Jean" Triggs Hott, 71, of Bunker Hill, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA, with her family by her side.
She was born March 29, 1951 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Martinsburg to the late James Shirley and Kathleen Marretta Triggs Chapman. She was a 1969 graduate of Musselman High School. She worked for nearly 30 years as the Postmaster of Ridgeway, WV, out of her home. She was a life-long member of Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School of all ages. She was also a long-time volunteer with Berkeley County Schools. Her children were the light of her life.

She is survived by one son, Bryan Benjamin Hott and husband Daniel Smith; one daughter, Lori Jean Davis and husband Zachary Davis; one grandson, Logan Davis; and one granddaughter, Constance Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Benjamin Hott whom she married on June 14, 1969; and one brother, Stewart James Triggs.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 18, at 7:00 p.m. at Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Dawn Reidy.
