Obituary for Fay Virginia Soccino (Barney)
Fay Virginia Soccino, 94, of Martinsburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Canterbury Nursing Home.
Born on April 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Abijah Allen Barney and Anna Mary Hiett Barney.
Fay retired from the IRS. She was also employed at Smith Nadenbush, and was a lifetime member at Trinity Episcopal, an active member of NARFE and volunteered at Kings Daughter’s Court for many years.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Andee Gibb and husband, Peter and Emily Grey and husband, Seth; and daughter in law, Shelia.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Barney and Dorsey Barney; two sisters, Geneva Brown and Jane Tucker; and one son, Ronald Soccino and companion, Douglas Miller.
Funeral services and interment are private.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
