Obituary for Richard Joseph Crawford
Richard Joseph Crawford, 75, of Front Royal, VA, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born August 15, 1944 in Martinsburg, WV, he is the son of Betty “Locke” Crawford and the late Joseph Thurman Crawford.
Richard retired from the US Navy. He was also a member of Triluminar Lodge #117 A.F & A.M, Osiris Shrine Temple, 32 degree member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Martinsburg, BPOE Elks Lodge member #2382, Front Royal, VA, and The Izaak Walton League of America, Warren County Chapter.
He is survived by two sons, Derrick and Richard Crawford; three grandchildren, Joseph, Jaden and Jared; and three brothers, William, Garland and Russell Crawford.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Allen, Daniel and David Crawford; and one sister, Patricia Moore.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating. Interment with Military Graveside Honors at Middleway Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army of your choice.
