Salena Ruth Devereux, 67, of Ranson, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, in the Inova Fairfax Hospital. Born Thursday, December 18, 1952, in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Huey Lee Strickland and Jo-Ann Weddell Strickland.
She worked as a patient care tech and was a caregiver at heart. She took care of everyone, patient or not. She adored her family, especially her “grandbabies,” and liked caring and cooking for them. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening and mowing but loved being at the river.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Michael Joseph Devereux; two daughters, Amy Stepp, and husband Todd, of Cottontown, TN, and Jennifer Wagner, and husband Jason, of Tavares, FL, and her three precious grandbabies: Alexander, Keegan and Trevor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Keith Tyson.
