Obituary for John Sherman "Sherm" Pappas
John Sherman “Sherm” Pappas, 70, of Hedgesville passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the VA Medical Center.
Born September 21, 1949 in Baltimore, MD he is the son of the late John Samuel Pappas and Lois Evelyn Blevins Pappas.
He attended Central Chapel Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Puffenburger Pappas; children, John David Pappas and wife, Sara, Timothy Chester Pappas, and Mary Rebecca Pappas; three grandchildren; and one brother, Christopher Thomas Pappas and wife, Debbie.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Clark Pappas.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Central Chapel Church, 2546 Back Creek Valley Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00PM at Central Chapel Church with Pastor Keith Walsworth.
Interment will be in Central Chapel Cemetery.
