Obituary for Nancy Lea Garcia (Thompson)
Nancy Lea Thompson Garcia, 83, of Hedgesville, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Clary Grove.
Born March 15, 1936, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Odell Thompson and Ora Lea (Logan) Thompson.
Nancy was a banker for 45 years at BB&T and was the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander Garcia; two daughters, Deborah Stewart and Robert and Valerie Sanders and Ken; three grandchildren, Ken Jr., Timothy, and Caitlin; and three great-grandchildren, Syler, Blake, and Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Central Chapel with Pastor Keith Walsworth officiating, family will receive one hour prior to service at the chapel.
