Obituary for Wanda Reid (Lewis)
Wanda L. Reid, 93, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Brookdale Hagerstown Facility.
Born September 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Virginia Carper Lewis.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Catholic Daughter's of America.
Her two chosen careers were those of a beautician, and then later that of an LPN. She was a past member of the Senior Kickers and loved to play bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Hager of Concord, VA, and Terry Mathers of Mobile, AL; one son, Anthony Reid of Hedgesville, WV; six grandchildren, Deana Collis, Travis Hager, Annette Reeser, Ryan Mathers, Drew Mathers and Noah Reid; ten great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ashlyn, Nolan (Deana Collis), Reid, Mason, Ava, Eden (Travis Hager), Luke, Sarah (Annette Reeser), and Mason (Ryan Mathers).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Anthony Reid who passed away in 2006. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Grace Miller, Geneva Tallent, Phyllis Lee, and Audrey Lewis, and two brothers, Kenneth Lewis and Vernon Lewis.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Brown Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial to take place immediately following the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father William Kuchinsky Celebrant.
Interment prayers will be private.
