Obituary for Charlene Ruth Gaither (Burditus)
Charlene Ruth Gaither, 56, of Kearneysville, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Hospice Inpatient Facility surrounded by her family.
Born on October 15, 1963 in Martinsburg, she is the daughter of Charles Lewis and Juanita Eversole Burditus.
Charlene was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She was CEO of Eastern Panhandle Community Federal Credit Union for 32 years. She loved entertaining at her home, gardening and loved to RV with family and friends. Charlene loved riding Harley’s with her late husband. She was a graduate of Hedgesville High School and was the recipient of the Golden Horseshoe Award.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one son, Philip L. Blair, (Christie); two daughters, Allyson Gaither Miller (Doug) and Devin Gaither; four grandchildren, Taylor, Dax, Cayden and Louie Blue; four siblings, Sandy McDonald (J.R.), Lenny Burditus, Danette “Sis” Files (Freddy), and Charles “Tony” Burditus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Gaither and one sister-in-law, Denise Burditus.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Lynn Wilson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle at 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
