Obituary for William Edward Bailey, Jr.
William Edward Bailey, Jr., 61, of Charles Town, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Born May 24, 1958, in Ranson, he was the son of the late William Edward Bailey and Geraldine Jackson Bailey.
He is survived by his daughter, Taisha Bailey, of Ranson; stepdaughter, Lynn Smith, of Charles Town; brother-in-law, Joe Twyman; sister, Betty Twyman, both of Ranson; nieces Jaylynn and Kiana, and 2 grandchildren, Sidney and Cameron.
Billy was of the Christian faith, served in the U.S. Army and was a Groomsman for the Charles Town Race Track. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and a talented artist. He was very charismatic and full of life. He easily expressed his feelings with others. He always had a story to tell and a smile on his face. He was the life of the party and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service with military honors will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Wainwright Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeffery Berry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be private.
