Obituary for Thomas Fleming Chambers

Thomas Flemming Chambers, 82, of Shenandoah Junction, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born February 13, 1937 in Hedgesville, WV, he was the son of the late Calvin Clay Chambers and Elsie Frances Coffinbarger Chambers.

Thomas worked in banking for 38 years, he started at Peoples Bank of Charles Town and ended his career as Vice President of Bank of Charles Town, he was also Treasurer of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mae Eileen Catrow Chambers; one son, Kevin T. Chambers (Deana); two daughters, Sherry E. Chambers and Cathy C. Lee (Mike); one grandson, Calvin Lee; one granddaughter, Madison Chambers; one sister, Viola V. Dopson; sister and brother in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald C. Chambers.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Langenstein officiating assisted by Rev. Dr. Parker Hinzman.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
