Obituary for Ben Lee Henderson
Ben Lee Henderson, 73, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Clary Grove Nursing Home.
Born January 3, 1946, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Belva May Morin Henderson.
He retired from Corning Glass, after 43 years of service.
Ben always told everyone about Jesus, he preached at the Juvenile Detention Center once a week for many years. He was a hard worker and took care of everyone, he would help anyone he could that was in need.
He is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Dreatha Robinson Henderson; one son, Andrew Lee Henderson; three daughters, Sharon Elaine Henderson, Michelle Lynn Butler, and Angela Ann Harmon; six grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Henderson; two sisters, Velma Butler and Belva Hurley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Henderson, Jessie Henderson, and Mark Henderson.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the chapel in Inwood with Rev. Richard Farley and Pastor Robert Robinson officiating.
Interment will be held in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
