Obituary for Sheryl Ann "Candy" Norris
Sheryl Ann “Candy” Norris, 60, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, September 2, 2019 at home.
Born on June 6, 1959 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of Jane Vitanza and step-father, Sebastian “Bud” Vitanza of Shepherdstown, and the late James B. Norris of Missouri.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Norris and grandson, Trevor of Oklahoma; one brother, James “Chuck” Norris and his wife, Gloria of Martinsburg; nephew, Geoffrey Norris and his son, Avram of Morgan County, WV. In addition to extended family in Missouri, Virginia, West Virginia and several cousins in Jefferson County, WV.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gardner and Anna Hutson and paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Edith Norris.
She loved her job as a research assistant at the A.T.F. in Martinsburg where she worked for over 20 years.
She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and attended Shenandoah University with a major in voice.
She liked to knit, crochet and watch “The Voice” on TV plus any channels; about animals, especially cats. She especially loved visits and outings with her many friends at work and churches she attended. She was a member of the Arden United Methodist Church.
There will not be any services per her request.
