Obituary for Edward M. Files Jr.
Edward Files, Jr., 60, of Martinsburg, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019, at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born December 7, 1958, in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Edward Files, Sr. and Betty “Sissy” Miller Files.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Files; two daughters, Kimberly Lynn Kennedy and husband Frank, Kimberly Anne Greenfield-Rice and Joseph Rice; seven grandchildren, Krystal Kennedy, Brittany Ringler and husband, Zane, Hannah Rinehart, Cameron Kennedy, Caleb Rice, Ethen Kennedy, and Hailey Kennedy; one niece, Jennifer Henry and wife, Karen; two nephews, Chuck Henry and wife, Sheila and Chris Henry and wife, Dani; and mother in-law, Anne Rutherford; several aunts, uncles, and cousins and his special family at the cool table at H P Hood.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Henry.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Cantley officiating. Interment will be held in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Oncology Department at Berkeley Medical Center and the staff at Hospice of the Panhandle. The family would also like to thank his very special Doctor, Dr. Gusic.
