Truly saddened to hear of Marie's passing, even though we knew that her health was worsening. She had a compassionate heart, sharing her affection for her family, my late father, and her adoring dogs. I often attribute her care offered to my father as adding several years ... several quality of life years ... to his life, and I would write her several times a year, even after his passing in 2008, simply trying to keep her as part of our extended family. She seemed to enjoy my newsy letters, even sharing them with her own family members. I know that she will be missed by both my sister, Susan, her husband, Tim, and my wife, Kathy, and me.
