Charles Edward Wines, 85, of Hedgesville passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

Born on September 11, 1933 in Casanova, VA, he was the son of the late John F. and Addie M. Wines.

He was employed for Montgomery County, MD’s Department of Liquor Control from August 1951 – July 1983.

Charles enjoyed spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Dorthulia M. McVey Wines; his sons, Charles (Ed) and wife Kimberly of Boonsboro, MD, Howard (Kevin) and life partner Annamarie of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughter, Kimberly and husband Dominic and two great-grandchildren Dominic and Elena.

He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Sharon S. Wines; former wife Jacqueline J. Wines, and three brothers and one sister.

Services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Entombment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
