Obituary for Mary Ruth James (Franklin)
Mary Ruth James, 88, of Martinsburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Clary Grove.
Born April 15, 1931 in Berkeley Co., WV she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Anna M. Myers Franklin.
She had been employed with Interwoven and National Fruit. She loved to garden especially in her flowers. Gave her lots of joy. She loved to play the guitar with family, especially with her sister, Mae. She loved to be with her family and making people smile.
She is survived by three sons, William L. James and wife, Kathy of Martinsburg, Gary Lee Sheffield-James and wife, Laurie of Baltimore, MD, and Wallace A. James and wife, Raquel of Martinsburg; four daughters, Elaine M. Payne and husband, Stephen, Carolyn F. Catlett and husband, Cam, Pamela S. Green, and Darlene L. Zombro all of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry D. and Vernon Franklin both of Hedgesville; two sisters, Clara Mae Fogle of Frederick, MD and Wanda Jean Markley of Hedgesville, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. James; infant son, Dennis Lynn James; and a granddaughter, Kelly M. James.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00PM at Brown Funeral Home with Dr.Jack Rudy officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
