Obituary for Robert L. Sheely
Robert L. Sheely, 78, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Tidwell Hospice, Inc. in Englewood, FL.
Born June 23, 1940 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late John L. Sheely, Sr. and Rita V. Britner Sheely.
He was employed at Corning Glass Company and was a veteran of the West Virginia Air National Guard. Additionally, he was a graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Sheely; three daughters, Robin Lynn Sheely, Deborah A. Hess, and Linda F. O'Dell; two grandchildren, Terry Nisewarner and Jennifer Bise; and three brothers, Richard Sheely, and John Sheely, Jr., and Brent Sheely; three great grandchildren, Sophie, Nathaniel, and Cooper Nisewarner.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia A. Sheely, who passed away on February 14, 2007; two infant sisters, Linda K. and Rita F. Sheely; and one brother, Thomas Sheely.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Manuel Gelido as celebrant. Interment prayers will be said in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
