Obituary for Clyde Franklin Stine

Clyde Franklin Stine, 88 of Charles Town passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in the Glade Valley Nursing Home. Born May 14, 1930 in Frederick, Maryland he was the son of the late Preston Victor Stine and Ruby Alma Norwood Stine. He served in the U S Army, was awarded Occupation Medal (Japan), Korean Service Medal with five bronze stars, two Overseas Bars, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the Presidential Unit Citation (ROK). Clyde was a truck driver for the Lafarge Holcim Company. He loved being outdoors, going to the beach, cooking and especially working with the Charles Town Calendar Girls.
He is survived by sons, Preston Stine and wife Janet of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Dennis Stine of Falling Waters, West Virginia, step-son, Larry Webster of Martinsburg, daughters, Elaine Stine and Carolin Stine, both of Frederick, Maryland, Ruby Phillips of Martinsburg, Cindy Haines and husband Greg of Hedgesville, West Virginia and Sarah Mitchell and husband Keith of Cape Coral, Florida, eight grandchildren, twenty one great and six great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Ruby Webster Brady Stine, brother; Austin Stine, sister; Eva Beall and grandson Jason Downs. A memorial service with graveside military honors will be held 10 am, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
