Obituary for Carolyn Estelle Elmer (Sencindiver)
Carolyn Estelle Sencindiver Elmer, 90, of Martinsburg, passed away, Friday, April 19, 2019 at Clary Grove Nursing Home.
Born May 4, 1928, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Carroll Tabler Sencindiver and Estelle Pearl McDaniel Sencindiver.
She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Carolyn retired as a school teacher from the Berkley County Board of Education.
She is survived by one son, Robert P. Elmer, III; a niece, Vanessa Bower and husband, Hal Bartz; a great niece, Tiffany Bowers Stark and husband, Sean; great great nephews, Declan and Cade; one stepdaughter, Laura Fox and husband, Bill; three step grandchildren, Eric, David, and Kevin.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Potter Elmer, Jr.; two brothers Vance E. Sencindiver and Gaven D. Sencindiver.
There will be no services per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Martinsburg Public Library, 101 West King Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
