Obituary for Ada Magdeline Urias

Ada Magdeline  Urias
Ada Magdeline Urias, 85, went home to our Lord on February 20, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Born October 9, 1933 in Nashville, TN she was the daughter of the late John Applebee and Martha Kennedy.

She loved to fish, gardening, family parties, and loved to cook for her family. She was a military wife for 24 years and was honored “Home of the Month” by the military. She was dedicated to her family and traveled all over the world. She loved bluegrass gospel and Jesus.

She is survived by her husband of sixty eight years Elocadio Urias; seven children, Sara Martin (Gary-deceased), Lucky Urias, Joe Urias (Carla-deceased), Debbie Albright (Ronnie), John Urias (Mary), Cindy Lewis (Kevin), and Sue Mumaw (Tim); twenty-five grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed by all of us.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Alfred Obiudu celebrant. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment prayers will be said at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
