Mary Lorraine “Sissy” Dearing Jenkins, 84, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born March 2, 1934 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Leroy Andrew Dearing and Ethel Marie Fowler Dearing.

She and her husband Bob owned Jenkins Grocery for many years. After his death, she became employed with General Motors where she retired in 1996. She was also a 60 year member of the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her children, David (Barbara) Hovermale, Lisa Poland, and Angela (John) Sherman; grandchildren, Rob, Chrissy, Michael Kent, Jessica, Craig, Aldin, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Alexus, Rheagan, Keenan, Mia, Kaitlyn, Devin, Cole, Lucas, and Aspin; and two brothers, Russell and Douglas Dearing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jenkins; son, Kenneth Hovermale; grandchild, Michael Andrew Hovermale; and infant brother, Robert Wayne Dearing.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1:00PM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Hovermale (grandson) officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
