Ronald “Ron” Ellis McGrew, Master firefighter, 72, of Inwood, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and special sister-in-law, Dottie Ayton.

Ronald was born on August 5, 1946 and was the son of Iona (Morris) McGrew the late Harry Ellis McGrew.

Ron retired as a Master firefighter and a school bus driver in Montgomery Co., Maryland. Ron loved sharing hunting, fishing and carpentry with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane McGrew; mother, Iona McGrew; son, Daniel E. McGrew and wife Tara of Gerrardstown; four grandchildren, Madison, Mason, MacKena, and Maddox; brother Dennis J. McGrew of Clarksburg; and sister Linda Snyder of Frederick.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Keith Wallsworth officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility at 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
