Terry Allen Ayers, 73, of Bunker Hill passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born September 7, 1945 in Notomine, WV he was the son of the late Wilbur Vivian Ayers and Opal Lucille Gulf Ayers.

He was a retired combat engineer with the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ursula Annemarie Ayers; three daughters, Deanna Harris, Sandra Fox, and Terri Kearns; one step-son, Jörg Spielmann; four grandchildren, Courtney, Meghan, D.J., and Andrew; three brothers, Buck Ayers, Charlie Ayers, and Rex Ayers; and three sisters, Kay Cantrell, Deanna Welch, and Rita Cusick.

He was preceded in death by step-son, Peter Smet; and two sisters, Gail Ayers and Sherri Harrison.

Memorial service Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
