Condolences

Condolence From: Dan Skarperud
Condolence: About 1953 Gaylor bought a motorcycle. What he thought was 45 CI turned out to be a 74 with almost no miles, we towed it home with a rope and Gaylor had it polished up and running the next day, he rode it every day from then on. In 1976 I flew to Milwaukee from Seattle to buy a new 1200 cc (74CI) bicentennial liberty edition, on my way to Seattle I stopped in grand forks at his and Marcy's studio and let him take it for a ride, he followed me to Mayville on his 1000cc Honda so I thought I would show him how a real motorcycle preformed, I opened it up while Gaylor was falling behind, as I looked down at the speedometer I was doing 125 when Gaylor passed me up like I was standing still, I never let anyone ride that motorcycle except Gaylor and my nephew, I always looked for Gaylor when I returned to Mayville and sometimes he would be there, He was a good friend thru High school and since.
