Luther George Ward, 93, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in New Jersey.

Born April 27, 1925 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Claude William Ward and Lillie G. (Morrison) Ward.

He was employed by Goodyear as a truck driver and as a plant supervisor.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Havertown, PA and the Moose Lodge. Additionally, he was a WW II veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by five sons, Dennis (Marian), David, Dallas (Becky) all of Florida, Douglas (Wendy) of Havertown, PA, and Jack (Yolanda) of Holland; two daughters, Katy (Richard) of Burlington, NJ, and Joanne (Joey) of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jean (Wyndham) Ward; one daughter, Christine M. Ward; and one grandson, Russell G. Pugh.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Home with David P. Ward officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery with military honors. Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service on Saturday.
