Arnold Richard Knott, 81, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Arnold was born on March 8, 1937 in Augusta County, Virginia and was the son of the late Herman Knott and Avis Foley Knott.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Catherine “Hite” Knott; four sons, Richard Knott, Dennis Knott, Jerry Knott and A.J. Knott; three daughters; Donna Knott, Joyce Reckline and Rachael Lacy; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dwayne Knott, Leonard Knott and Randy Knott; three sisters, Donna Smith, Rose Leatherwood and Linda Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; Bruce and Kenny Knott and one sister, Elaine Moran.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Rhoe officiating.
