William Winfield Long, 42, of Placerville, CA, departed from this earth on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
Born March 27, 1976 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of Richard Long and the late Patricia A. Mauk-Long.
He was a 1994 graduate of Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, WV and was employed by Jeld Wen.
Outside the love for his family, his passions included music and sports. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Katherine; one stepdaughter, Clarisse Carlson; one stepson, Tommy Carlson; two brothers, Joseph L. Long and wife Charity and Peter J. Thompson, both of Martinsburg; several other family members; as well as four special pets who he loved unconditionally including one cat, Eddie; and three dogs, Loki, Precious, and Daisy.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W King Street in Martinsburg on Friday evening December 7, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
