On November 13, 2018, Joseph W. Ceravalo, passed peacefully to be with the Lord after an extensive hospital stay resulting from a medical issue which occurred on August 9, 2018. Joe was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, cousin, uncle and dear friend to each and every person that he met throughout his life.
Joe was born on June 13, 1973 to adoring parents Donald and Barbara Ceravalo in Charles Town, West Virginia. In his youth, Joe was involved with academics, sports, hunting, fishing and developing friendships that would endure his lifetime. Joe graduated from Jefferson High School in 1991 and later received a Business Degree from Shepherd University. He immediately delved into a career in technology and retail. On March 21, 1998, Joe married the love of his life, Leslie Allnutt with a remarkable wedding and reception in Charles Town. Joe’s career took the newlywed’s to various locations across the U.S. including West Virginia, Texas, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Two significant events took place during the early years of their marriage. On June 11, 1997 Joe and Leslie welcomed Preston W. Ceravalo into their family. Then on June 7, 2002 they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Maddalena M. Ceravalo, into the world to complete their amazing family.

Joe spent his life dedicated to his family and career. He took great pride in instilling a core of exceptional family values and work ethic in his daily life and with his children. Each and every fall, Joe spent much time preparing for hunting with his father, brother, cousins, nephews, his son and his daughter. These hunting trips were spent creating many cherished memories and teaching the younger Ceravalo children the importance of family and tradition. Summers were spent fishing with his brother, father in-law and family along with a passion for camping, woodworking, elaborate fireworks displays and spending time with his family and friends.

The devotion, spirit, energy and true principles that Joe lived each and every day of his life by have inspired so many in his 45 years of life. Joe had a positive impact on everyone that he met, his laughter was contagious and his soul was one that you could never forget. He will be missed by so many, but his faith, love and character will be celebrated forever.

Joe is survived by his wife, Leslie and two children, Preston and Maddalena. His parents Barbara and Donald Ceravalo, his brother Tony (Andy) Ceravalo, niece Kalie Ceravalo and nephew Dylan Ceravalo and grandmother Eleta Chamberlain. Joe also had a very special relationship with his cousin, Steven Ceravalo, wife Michelle and son Grant, also several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Tony Ceravalo, grandfather, Amos A. Wiley, step granddad, William Chamberlain and great grandparents, Linnie and John Wiley.

A memorial service will be held at Charles Town Baptist Church on December 2, 2018 at 3 PM to praise the time that so many had with Joe in this life.

In lieu of other donations or gifts, the family is requesting contributions to college funds for Preston and Maddalena Ceravalo to fulfill their lifetime goals at City National Bank, 1034 S. George St., Charles Town, WV 25414 in care of Preston Cerevalo and Maddalena Ceravalo.
