Wynona Atala (Shook) Trexler, 81 years old of Martinsburg, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 1:30 PM after several months of illness.

Wynona was born in Petersburg, West Virginia on July 21, 1937, the daughter of the late Fred and Nellie (Day) Shook.

Wynona was united in marriage with William Trexler that preceded her in death, they had been married 58 years.

She is survived by her two sons, William Trexler Jr. and wife Jackie, John Trexler; four daughters, Veronica Trexler, Laura Zenrick and husband Kurt, Tammy Ardnt and husband Dennis, Karen Sue Brown; eighteen grandchildren, Katrina, Tammy and husband Chris, Tasha, Chris, Andrea, Jordan, Joshua, Christina and husband Fidelis, Lona and husband Andy, Rosemary, Emma, Charles and wife Leslie, Mandy, Nathan and wife Amanda, Matthew and wife Jackie, Kurt Jr, Tina and Kitty; twenty one great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren;

She is also survived by two sisters Lorraine Warner and husband Ralph of Broadway Virginia, Oma Barb and husband Bill of Mathis, West Virginia. Surviving brothers are Errol Shook and wife Jane of Ridgeley, West Virginia, Fred D. Shook Jr of Cumberland, Maryland, Shannon Shook and wife Sandra of Bluffton, South Carolina.

Wynona is proceeded in death by her sister Madeline (Shook) Pyle and husband James.

Wynona’s life revolved around her God her family and friends, she endeavored to be used by God to serve others and be available for the needy and unfortunate. She was a wonderful neighbor, friend and loved by all who knew her, she loved to celebrate, cook and share her gifts of food with everyone.

Services will be held on Sunday November 18, 2018 at St. Lukes United Methodist Church, promptly at 2:00 pm, 700 New York Ave Martinsburg, WV 25401 with Rev. Mike Cantley officiating.
