Shelley Denise Simpson, 49, of Martinsburg went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

Born June 9, 1969 in Frankfurt, Germany she is the daughter of Jerry Stewart and wife, Anne and Libby Leary Stewart.

She was a member of Butler’s United Methodist Church. She was most proud of her work with “Young Lives”; and involved with the youth theater at the Apollo.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Theodore “Ted” Simpson, Jr.; her children, Blane Thompson of Midway, NC, Caroline Anne Simpson and Mattie Mae Simpson of Martinsburg; two step-daughters, Lauren Simpson of Miami, FL and Lacie Mitchell of Clermont, FL; sister, Heather Stewart Popwell of Winston Salem, NC; two brothers; Tanner Stewart and Michael Lewis and five grandchildren.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future endeavors for the children at BCT 5480 Charles Town Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
