Obituary for Irene Lou Ellen Stickel (Black)

Irene LouEllen Stickel, 77 of Charles Town, WV gained her beautiful Angel wings on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Berkeley Medical Center with her granddaughter and her daughter-in-law by her side. Heaven was calling for a beautiful Angel. She had been sick for quite a while with complications of diabetes and kidney failure. She was on dialysis for many years. Born May 4, 1941 in Union Bridge, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Grayson Black and Mary Ethel Pheabus. She was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. Loved playing cards, crafting, watching games shows. Her favorite was making dinner for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Loved going to church when she was younger.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Angela Stickel, Bradley Stickel, Danielle Stickel and fiancé Michael Adams, and Johnny Miller and wife Pame, great grandchildren, Audrey Stickel, Makayla Adams, Whyatte Stickel, Willow Stickel and Michael Adams, III. Special children, Tre, Destiny and Jaden Brooks, Katrina Stickel, Tiffany Stickel and son Teagan, and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Stickel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Eldridge Stickel, Sr., sons, Francis Stickel, Jr., and James William Stickel, brother, Kenneth Black, sisters, Mary Black-Dumbuya and Olive Dillon and grandson, Cody Lookingbill. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Reverend Duane Jenson officiating. Interment will be in the Edge Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at noon.
