Mazie Irene Oden, 75 of Martinsburg passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 in the Winchester Medical Center. Born June 22, 1943 in Harpers Ferry she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Longerbeam Shumaker. She worked as a switchboard operator for Xerox. Mazie was the life of the party, loved to dance. She loved her family so much and will be greatly missed. She is survived by three sons, Samuel Oden and wife Valerie of Inwood, Timmy Oden of Kearneysville and Vincent Oden of Charles Town, two daughters, Tammy Longerbeam and husband Bruce of Harpers Ferry and Sherry Parker and husband Gail of Charles Town, two brothers, Ernest Shumaker and wife Doris and Jefferey Shumaker and wife Darla all of Harpers Ferry, two sisters, Nancy Shumaker of Wardensville and Patricia Staubs of Charles Town, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Kathy Pauley, four brothers and two sisters. Services will be announced at a later date.
