Obituary for Dale Venice Payne

Dale Venice Payne, 90, of Bunker Hill, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born July 14, 1928 in Etowah, TN, he was the son of the late Tracy Shaw and Pearl Edna Lingerfelt Payne.

He was a member of the Berkeley Place United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and on various committees.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of the AMVets, American Legion, VFW, and Mason Lodge Triluminar Lodge #117 A.F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude T. “Trudy” Troiano Payne; two daughters, Kathy White and husband Don of Georgia, and Tina Stone and husband Mike of Fredericksburg, VA; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Gene and William Glen Payne.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor J. Lisa Franzen officiating.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
