Obituary for Christina Jane Armel

Christina Jane  Armel
Christina Jane Armel, 83, of Martinsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Canterbury Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 27, 1935 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar Horner and Mabel L. Files Horner; and adoptive parents Aunt Tresa Horner Miller and husband, Uncle Clark Miller.

She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She was a 1953 graduate of Musselman High School.

She is survived by two daughters, Tresa Michelle Shanholtzer and husband, Craig, of Martinsburg and Amy N. Armel of Inwood; her three sons, Shannon L. Armel and wife, Vicki, of Conway, SC, William B. Armel and wife, Vickie, of Martinsburg and Bradley C. Armel and wife Lucia of Charles Town;; twelve grandchildren, Tommy Frederick (Jennifer), Brent Anderson (Stacia), Jennifer R. Armel, Andrea B. Jenkins (Shad), Zachary U. Frederick (Sarah), Jennifer N. Armel (Jerred Gray), Matthew S. Armel (Brittany), Sarah E. Panek (Lee), Christopher B. Armel (Samantha), Cari L. Armel, Cody W. Armel and Andrew L. Milburn; seven great grandchildren, Kobe Frederick, Christian Mazzeo, Collin Jenkins, Mia M. Panek, Olivia Gray, Jonah C. Panek and Micah J. Panek; and two sisters, Trecla Deterich of St. Joseph, MO and Louise Linton of Lancaster, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert LaGarde Armel.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 1:30 PM at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Breidenbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
