Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Mason. He was to many of us, the "Mayor" of Inwood. He cared very deeply for this county and for the many programs that could enhance this county's standing, such as the Berkeley County Solid Waste Authority. I remember well the excellent budget presentations made each year and the accolades that the program received.

Rest easy and know that your life made a difference in the lives of others in your home county.

Condolence: Edgar Mason did not leave here without leaving his footprint on this county and this state. The Solid Waste Auth could not have survived without Edgar guiding us through some very lean times. Not to mention all those Government regulations and the many meetings with attorneys. The Authority is in the Very capable hands now of Clint Hogbin, but it will always have Edgar Mason's finger prints all over it. You have earned your heavenly reward, rest in peace my friend.

Condolence: Thoughts and prayers go out to a citizen of Berkeley County that done so much, got the job done, his accomplishments helped so much, the storm water management in Inwood, just to name and so many many more deeds that helped us all. Lots of hard work and headaches to help others. Remembering all the family at this time .

Condolence: Edgar was a founding father of the Berkeley County Recycling and Litter Control Programs. Along the way, he won many awards, including Volunteer of the Year and West Virginia Recycling Champion.

Edgar was a friend. He worked hard to mold and shape me. It was so very difficult to see him leave the Board that we (and others) rebuilt from the ground up. He was loved and respected in many circles and will be missed by all.

May he rest in peace for a job well done and may God bring peace to his wife (Linda) and their family.

Condolence: I met Edgar and Linda in April of 2012.They did not know me at all but rented me an apartment.I needed a job and Edgar hired me to help him and later helped me find full time employment. They welcomed me into there home for dinner on more then one occasion.I began dating there youngest daughter later that year i remember riding with him in his truck and him pulling over at a church concerned that i was going out with his daughter. He told me blood was thicker than water and with that laugh he had said and your water. really respected him after that because it showed how much he loved his family and said what he thought.I learned alot the past six years and i can say i loved him thank you Edgar for caring rest in peace

Condolence: Sandy and I extend our sincere condolences to Linda and the Mason family. Edgar was one of Musselman High's greatest supporters. In high school I worked at the A&P store where Edgar got me a job. I have such fond memories of our times together including when Edgar let me drive the trucks around his dad's truck lot, of course, his dad didn't know this. It is so comforting to know that Edgar accepted Christ as his Savior and is now enjoying an eternal life, forever young and full of joy and happiness.
