Obituary for Angela McCorkle (Hightower)

Angela McCorkle (Hightower)
It is with great sadness that the family of Angela McCorkle (68, of Martinsburg, WV) announces she passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018.

Angela was born on May 14, 1950 in Dumas, TX and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Hightower and Joann Johnson Hightower.

Angela will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years Jesse H McCorkle; their children Kimberly Thigpen (Jimmy), Kenneth McCorkle (Tami), Jesse McCorkle, Kathy Holland, Joshua McCorkle, and Jessica McCorkle (Jeremy Wozniak); their grandchildren; Jacob Thigpen, Ethan Newport, Caleb Thigpen, Elizabeth McCorkle, Emma McCorkle, and Allison McCorkle and one sister; Debra Lucarelli.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Hightower, and one sister, Suzanne Pettey.

Angela loved her family, God, and friends. She was the light of her families’ world and will forever be in their hearts. As a family we often got together to have good food, play games, and have fun. We even forgave her for cheating every once in a while. She was the best momma and the best wife “sweetheart” any one could ask for. She is loved and will be missed until we see her again in Heaven.

Angela was a faithful member of the Northwest Church of God. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 11th. In lieu of flowers please donate to the National Kidney Foundation at http://bit.ly/2AKOUum.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13
