Obituary for Rhoda Ann Carter Brindle (Eavey)

Rhoda Ann Eavey Carter Brindle, 92 of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born January 14, 1926 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Glen Eavey and Catherine Kilmer Eavey.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Grabowski and husband Joseph, of Dumfries, VA and Linda Spiker and husband Delmont, of Martinsburg; five grandchildren, Sean, Mathew, Andrew, Sarah and Shanna; and six great- grandchildren, Alexis, Brittney, Mathew, Camden, Eavey, and Katherine.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Carter; her second husband, Louis R. Brindle; three sisters, Sister Marguerite Eavey, Dorothy Jane Kitchen, and Glenda Hines; and her companion, Charles Stevens.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thomas Gallagher, celebrant. Interment prayers will be said in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
