Obituary for Virgil Harrison "Virg" Evans

Virgil “Virg” Harrison Evans, 69, of Hedgesville passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born March 19, 1949 in Romney, WV he was the son of the late L. Gilbert Evans and Pearl Edna Cox Conard Evans.

He was a member of Vanville Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Navy and enjoyed Karaoke at Four Corners.

He is survived by his wife, Mary V. Morrison Evans; three daughters, Michelle L. Huffman, Brenda Sue Desmond, and Barbara Ann Dunlap; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Evans; one half-brother, Henry Geno Conard; four sisters, Shirley Friddle, Leona Heavener, Linda Judy, and Roxanna Combs; and four-legged daughter, Molly.

He was preceded in death by a son, Virgil Dale Evans; and five brothers, Odra R. Conard, Carl O. Conard, Donald L. Evans, Roger P. Evans, and Charles E. Evans.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor Chris Straley and Jason Judy officiating. Interment will be in Paynes Chapel Cemetery.
