Gayle Richard  "Buck"  Braithwaite
Gayle “Buck” Richard Braithwaite, 76, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Buck was born on August 3, 1941 in Berkeley Springs, WV, he was the son of the late Herbert Loyer and Mary Ellen Henry Braithwaite.

He was retired from the US Air Force and worked as a Federal Police Officer with the IRS. He attended Wesleyan Chapel Church in Berkeley Springs.

In addition to a solo gospel music ministry, Buck sang with several different groups over the years.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl “Sherry” Gardner Braithwaite; three sons Mike Braithwaite and wife Susie, Rick Braithwaite and wife Teresa, and David Noblit and wife Shawn; nine grandchildren Jeff, Nicole, Josh, Ashley, Chris, Zack, Jake, Nathanael and Noah; one great-grandson Alex; one brother Lewis Braithwaite and wife Lisa; and one sister Linda Trusty and husband Ted.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.with Reverend William Swope officiating, at the Wesleyan Chapel Church, 612 Harrison Avenue, Berkeley Springs, WV. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430 or Morgan County Humane Society, 5366 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
