Joseph Earle Greene, Jr., 88 of Charles Town passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his home. Born May 14, 1930 in Pelzer, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Joseph Earl Green and Hazel Beatrice Ballard Green. He served in the United States Army, worked as a senior computer scientist for Computer Science Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Marie Cooke Greene, at home, one son, Joseph Earle Greene, III and wife Sherri of Dallas, Texas, two step-daughters, Kendra Hawkins and husband Shane of Friendsville, Tennessee and Jolisse Schuler of Silver Spring, Maryland, one sister, Hazel Green of Bradenton, Florida, two grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one great step grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Cynthia and brother Eugene Green.
An inurnment will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
