The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Carl Beyeler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: John Shearer
Condolence: We(Vel and I) have been mindful and prayerful for you Betty--as you keep experiencing the reality of Carl's death. Carl saved my life or kept me from serious injury when I passed out going down the steps outside of his Harrisonburg apartment. Never did I dream that he would, later be my companion traveling from France(where we needed to become residents in order to enter war-torn Algeria). We suffered together from various tropical diseases. As you know well Betty, he was fun to be with and a fine friend.

We affirm with Isaiah 40:31, and with you Betty, that your hope in the Lord shall renew your strength to be like the eagles. God Bless, John

Condolence From: Mark & Nancy Conrad
Condolence: I first met Carl in Algeria in 1956, I was about to leave when he came to replace some of us. We were together for about a month. I then left and went to Finland to service in a youth work camp for the summer. We met again latter in life in PA and CA with Betty and Carl. Also Carl and I emailed and talk on phone. Those early years were very important events in our lives.

I admired him, and shared many things that we had in common. Grateful for our friendship.

Betty we were blessed to know you and sorry for your loss. Mark and Nancy Conrad
