Norma Troupe Grant, 92, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018.

She was born on October 30, 1925 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Grace B. Gerbrick Troupe.

She was employed by the Berkeley County Board of Education as a Financial Secretary for 27 years. She was a member of the Christ Reformed United Church of Christ. Norma was a former member of the Jr. Women's Club, a charter member of the Lioness Club and was "Lioness of the Year", as well as a member of the Berkeley County Retired School Employees, the West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees, the MHS Alumni Association, AARP, and EGO. Norma was a loyal Mountaineer fan and tried never to miss a broadcast of football and basketball games.

Norma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian A. Grant and Cathy C. Grant of Monrovia, MD; her grandson, Zachary A. Grant; of Frederick, MD; her nephews, John R. MacDonald, of Falling Waters, Douglas MacDonald of Tennessee, Craig Grant of Martinsburg; and nieces, Susan M. Ring of Southern Pines, NC, Nancy MJ. Golladay of Winchester, VA, and Cindy K. Hamrin of Roswell, GA

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Grant; one brother, Robert B. Troupe; one sister, Mary Frances Mussetter; and one niece, Peggy MacDonald Judd.

Bearers will be Brad Janes, Ronald Beach, James Rinker, Chad MacDonald, Mark Golladay, and David Mudge.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Hartshorn officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club, Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, St. Jude’s Hospital, or the charity of one’s choice.
