Edgar Lee Bowers, Jr., 80, of Martinsburg passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Winchester Medical Center.

Born June 22, 1937 in Falling Waters, WV he was the son of the late Edgar Lee Bowers and Madeline Wright Bowers.

He loved racing cars with his son. He was a member of the Union Local #193 Boilermakers.

He is survived by one son, Todd Bowers of Hedgesville; two daughters, Teresa Richard and Sherry Smith; twelve grandchildren, Michelle, James, Jennifer, Scott, Crystal, Angela, Matt, Jessie, Jamie, Jody, Michael, and Randy; seventeen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roger Bowers, Ralph Bowers, and Danny Thompson; and two sisters, Phyllis Showe and Beverly Lamb.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glennie Mae Bowers and one son, Gregory Lee Bowers.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Donivan officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
