Marvin Eugene Johnson, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born November 1, 1927 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley Johnson, Jr. and Lennis Mary (Johnson) Johnson Davis.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from UNISYS.

He was a life member of the DAV and was named the 1976 Outstanding WV Educator.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Minnick Prescott Johnson; two sons, Rick E. Johnson and wife, Cindi, and Thomas W. Johnson and wife, Harriet, all of Martinsburg; one granddaughter, Rachael Ann Johnson; and one brother, Roger S. Johnson of MD.

At his request, services and interment will be private.
